Megan Devenish

Board Member

I am a Chartered Accountant and accomplished strategic leader with over 25 years’ experience in financial leadership, governance, operational transformation, and strategic growth across both commercial and not for profit organisations.  I hold a Master’s in Business Law and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Adelaide and am a long-standing member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.  I have served on numerous boards and committees leading financial strategy, risk management and stakeholder engagement for multi-entity environments and working closely with executive teams to drive sustainable growth and compliance.

My career is distinguished by my expertise in governance, enterprise risk, stakeholder engagement and financial stewardship, including budgeting, cash flow management, financial reporting and regulatory compliance. I am skilled at engaging boards and stakeholders to set strategic vision and mobilise high performing teams, with a strong focus on aligning financial strategy with organisational purpose.

I am passionate about building strong teams, mentoring emerging leaders and driving positive change in mission-driven organisations.  I believe strong governance and collaboration are key to delivering sustainable impact for the communities we serve and I look forward to using my expertise to support an organisation with strong social purpose.

I am deeply committed to community engagement and worked closely with communities and volunteers in my time at the Catholic Diocese of Adelaide to support the work of Education, Community Service and Parishes in the community.  I am an empathetic listener and believe in collaboration to achieve workable solutions to support the organisation’s purpose, and the communities it impacts.

I lead with integrity, collaboration, and a deep respect for diversity. My approach to financial stewardship is grounded in transparency and strategic foresight, ensuring that every decision supports both operational excellence and social impact.
